-I give lessons in person and via FaceTime as well as perform concerts and teach workshops with the topics of:
"UB's Intro to Barre Chording" : We'll use one chord shape and a fun song to get you started off with barre chords
"UB's Barre Chording 2" : You'll get more confident with barre chords while using 4 easy chord shapes to make a fun blues riff
"UB's Efficient Chord Building" : Tips to eliminate hand gymnastics
"UB's Getting Beyond The Ups and Downs of Strums" : We'll learn some song elements (including rhythm techniques) that will help you get past DDUUD and incessant strumming
"UB's How to make friends with your Ear Worm" : Taking a nagging song in your head to making a song sheet
"UB's Elements to make a song your Own" : How to take your favorite song up a level
"UB's Music Box": a fun way to learn to finger pick using arpeggios
"UB’s Memorization Tricks” : How the world's worst memorizer lessens his dependence on a song sheet.
--I also lead play alongs including gospel/hymn sessions

Here's a quick summary video I made for a couple of my on-line students. We had an hour long live video lesson on finger picking in 3/4 time to add variety to a song they were working on. They encouraged me to share it with others because they enjoy the way that I teach. |
